Functional IVNT - Thymosin alpha-1

Introduction

Thymosin alpha-1, an immune-regulating peptide found in the thymus gland, plays a role in enhancing immune function in situations where the immune response is suppressed by activating various immune cells such as T cells, NK cells, and dendritic cells.
In our body, T cells and NK cells act as anti-cancer, anti-inflammatory, and anti-viral agents, while dendritic cells capture foreign substances that enter our body and trigger an immune response.

Indications

Immunotherapy involves administering immune factors to restore and increase the body's natural immune capacity.
In Korea, it is mainly used as an adjuvant therapy after cancer treatment. Not only cancer patients but also cancer survivors and their families, elderly patients with weakened immune systems, patients with chronic fatigue, viral hepatitis, and shingles (herpes zoster), and individuals with recurrent viral diseases such as colds and herpes can benefit greatly from this non-reimbursed treatment. Moreover, it is recommended as an adjuvant therapy to maximize the effectiveness of vaccines in individuals who have been vaccinated.
